Tera Allas

Visiting Fellow

Tera is a Visiting Fellow at McKinsey Global Institute, McKinsey’s economics and business research arm. She has particular expertise in economics, productivity, innovation and public policy, and holds roles with the UK Productivity Leadership Group, Innovate UK, the Scale-Up Institute evidence committee, the Patient Capital Review, and the National Institute of Social and Economic Research. Previously, she was Chief Economist in the energy and climate change, transport and business departments and Deputy Head of the UK Government Economic Service. Prior to this, Tera worked for 10 years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company with a focus on corporate and business unit strategy and microeconomics. Tera holds a M.Sc. in Technology and Industrial Economics (with distinction) from Aalto University and an M.B.A. (with distinction) from INSEAD.
