Michele D’Aliessi

Michele’s background combines technical and business expertise, this allows him to apply his rational and
structured thinking to tackle and solve complex business problems. His experience with young
entrepreneurs, software developers, as well as with senior executives at large corporations (CEOs, CFOs,
CIOs) makes him flexible to communicate effectively to a broad rage of profiles about a large set of technical
and business topics.

After graduating in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (MSc, Cum Laude) and studying
Technology Entrepreneurship at ETH Zürich, Michele started a self-designed one-year Master on Startups
Ecosystems and Tech Ventures that took him directly to work with entrepreneurs and investors in Silicon
Valley.

In 2013, Michele started Ympact, a non-profit organization that reports about startups ecosystems by
producing free documentaries available on YouTube. So far Ympact covered 6 major European
cities (London, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Helsinki, Milan) and Silicon Valley.
Since 2014 Michele works with tech entrepreneurs, helping them to bring their business off the ground and
expand internationally, and helps corporate executives to understand new technologies and their impact on
the overall corporate business strategy.

Now working at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in London, Michele is focusing on
cutting-edge technologies (i.e. Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, FinTech) to identify new business models
and business opportunities in the financial landscape.

A deep understanding of both technology and business, combined with high skills in communication and
public speaking, make Michele a good lecturer to very diverse audiences. Among the previous teaching
experiences before joining Sir John Cass Business School as Visiting Lecturer in Blockchain, Michele
taught startups and new ventures creation basics to corporate executives at the International Business
School of Politecnico di Milano (MIP).
